The Time is Upon Us

It is that time. The Society for Applied Anthropologist and the Society of Medical Anthropologist are having that National Meeting together here in Memphis this week. People started to pore in last night and the excitement continues today. We are looking at over a 100 University of Memphis Alumni and close to 10,000 people overall. That's right 10,000 anthropologists in downtown Memphis. Watch who you talk to and don't agree to any interviews this weekend unless you want to be part of on an often unneeded but never boring evaluation of your position in our patriarchal and capitalistic society.

Point being, this week is going to be a crazy one, and I am so excited. There will be people from all over the world to talk to and network with.......and above all....I get to hang out with new people. On the same note.....we will be at the Marriot Down Town.....so you might want to stay clear.
